REFLECTIONS of a BIRDER
It was early morning when I picked up
the Herald Tribune.
The soft answering call of the osprey
caught my attention.
I was fascinated by the graceful bird
as it circled toward the nest, flying so freely to perch beside the
caller.
How wonderful to be so free!
Freedom is our precious right in our
country.
People from many parts of our world
have come to America
seeking freedom.
We know to be free there are components
of responsibility, and accountability that must prevail in exercise
of our rights.
We also know:
SLANDER IS REAL, HATE IS REAL, and
PROFANITY IS REAL.
How we respond or react to these
destructive, divisive realities is crucial for civil discussion.
Are we unable to determine what is
right and what is wrong?
Are we unable to learn what is true?
“TRUTH HAS NO AGENDA”.
With wisdom we can begin to ease the
pain inflicted by angry slander, hate, and profanity.
The TV brings the violence that has
erupted from demands for freedom into our homes.
Frustration and anger have led to
irrational behavior.
We must set aside our meanness and
pettiness for our safety and security.
Nothing is impossible when we truly
care and respect one another!
